Windows Mobile Phone Remote Security Camera View App
iDVR-PRO video surveillance DVRs support the ability to remotely view security cameras live from the Windows mobile phone web app. Unfortunately, there is not currently a native Windows mobile app, but the web app access via Internet Explorer provides users with a good user experience to view live video of the security cameras connected to their iDVR-PRO. Analog CCTV cameras and the latest HD security cameras are supported (AHD and HD-TVI formats). The web app supports a live view only - no recorded video playback is supported.
Network / Port Forwarding Setup
If you have not already done so, you must first perform the network and port forwarding setup for your DVR to access from Windows mobile (or any other client application). You can find the network setup and port forwarding instructions here.
Windows Mobile Phone Access
Windows mobile phone users can remotely access their DVR and security cameras using the Internet Explorer web browser that is built into the Windows mobile operating system. For Windows desktop access, iDVR-PRO DVRs use an active X control based application. Being that the DVR detects the Windows mobile phones as Internet Explorer, the DVR attempts to invoke the Active X controls based app, but mobile devices do not support these types of downloads, so you must manually enter the mobile web app URL in your web browser to by-pass this.
The mobile web app address is: http://your-ip-address.com:80/html/mlive.htm
Be sure to include the "http://" and replace "your-ip-address.com" with the IP address or hostname of your DVR. Also be sure to replace "80" with the HTTP port that your DVR is using.
When you access this URL, you will be prompt for a login and password. The default login for iDVR-PRO is "ADMIN" in call caps. 1234 is the default password.
This is what the web app interface looks like.
Users can tap on the camera channel drop-down menu to select a different camera to view.

Complete CCTV Systems
Did you know? CCTV Camera Pros can provide a complete surveillance system quote that includes any iDVR-PRO model with cameras, cables, connectors, power supplies, and monitors? We can even mix and match SD and HD security cameras because the latest iDVR-PROs are hybrid. They work with CCTV, AHD, and HD-TVI type cameras. As you have probably already seen on our website, we have 2, 4, 8, and 16 camera surveillance systems in pre-made packages. However, it is not possible for us to package up every combination and quantity of all the different camera models that we carry. So, we can also provide you with a custom quote with as many cameras as you need and a mix of any combination of camera model(s) based on your project requirements.
