AHD CCTV cameras, also known as Analog HD CCTV cameras, are capable of capturing high definition video surveillance at 720p and 1080p resolutions. We sell both 720p HD cameras and 1080p HD cameras, all of which can be seen below. AHD security cameras must be used with a AHD compatible DVR. CCTV Camera Pros supplies hybrid AHD / CCTV DVRs that work with both AHD and traditional analog CCTV cameras so that users can mix and match a combinations of both camera types. We highly recommend Viewtron hybrid DVRs for use with these cameras. If you are unfamiliar with the difference between AHD and traditional analog CCTV camera resolution, you can learn more about AHD vs CCTV here. You can also watch a video that compares SD and HD surveillance here and demo surveillance videos here.

AHD Camera Cable
One of the advantages of AHD camera is that they can use the same RG59 coax cable as traditional CCTV cameras and the cable runs can be just as long (max distance about 800 feet). Our RG59 Siamese cable options have been tested with AHD cameras and are guaranteed by CCTV camera pros to work effectively with the AHD cameras that we sell.
AHD cameras do require a compatible HD DVR in order to capture high definition video. CCTV Camera Pros offers hybrid DVRs that work with HD-TVI, HD-CVI, AHD, and standard definition analog CCTV cameras (CVBS). We highly recommend our Viewtron
hybrid security camera DVRs for use with AHD cameras.
