Guide to determine camera compatibility for iDVR-PRO Surveillance DVRs

This article will help iDVR-PRO video surveillance DVR users determine if their DVR is compatible with the following types of security cameras: analog CCTV, AHD, and TVI. There have been a number of different iDVR-PRO model DVRs that CCTV Camera Pros has supplied over the years, including a few different revisions of the iDVR-PRO A and H models. Earlier model iDVR-PROs only support analog CCTV cameras. Later HD hybrid DVRs were released. Some hybrid models support analog CCTV and AHD cameras. There are also some hybrid models that support analog CCTV, AHD, and TVI cameras. The exact version of an iDVR-PRO is confirmed by viewing the firmware version of the DVR.

Please follow the instructions below to get the firmware version of your DVR.

1. Go to Menu > System Setup > System > System Info. (Shown Below).

Once you have the firmware version, here are some guidelines that will tell you which unit is being used. You will need to reference the first 5 digits of the firmware version.

4K Compatible Models

The following analog CCTV (960H / D1 / CIF), AHD (720p, 1080p, 3mp, 4mp, 5mp), HD-TVI (720p, 1080p, 3mp, 4mp, 5mp, 8mp / 4K) camera models.

• iDVR-PRO8A (Starts with) -- 70210
• DVR-PRO16A 4K (Start with) -- 70310

5MP Compatible Models

The following iDVR-PRO models work with analog CCTV (960H / D1 / CIF), AHD (720p, 1080p, 3mp, 4mp, 5mp), HD-TVI (720p, 1080p, 3mp, 4mp, 5mp) camera models.

• DVR-PRO4A (Start with) -- 69110
• iDVR-PRO8A (Start with) -- 69210
• iDVR-PRO16A (Start with) -- 69310
• iDVR-PRO8H (Start with) -- 68210
• iDVR-PRO16H (Start with) -- 68310

1080p / 2MP AHD Compatible Models

The following iDVR-PRO models support analog CCTV (960H / D1 / CIF) and AHD (720p and 1080p) camera models.

• iDVR-PRO16A AHD will Start with - 47310

1080p / 2MP AHD and HD-TVI Compatible Models
