The Viewtron IP-A4VD is a vandal-proof dome camera with built-in IR night vision and 2.8-12mm motorized zoom lens. The IP-A4VD is a 4mp IP camera with PoE (power over Ethernet) capability. The IP-A4VD is also an AI security camera with the following advanced AI software functions:
vehicle detection, traffic counting camera, person detection, and human face recognition / face detection. This vandal proof IP camera is enclosed in a IP67 rated weatherproof housing so that it can be used for indoor and outdoor installations. The built-in IR LEDs provide infrared illumination up to 150 feet. This IP camera is a great choice for home, business, and government installations where vandalism or tampering is a concern.
The 2.8-12mm motorized zoom lens / motorized varifocal lens provides an adjustable 105° - 33° field of view. The motorized lens can be adjusted from the NVR, or from the mobile app for iPhone and Android. This IP camera is ONVIF protocol compliant so that it can be used with any ONVIF compatible NVR, however in order to use the AI software functions, you must use a
Viewtron IP camera NVR or configure the AI software functions by directly logging into the camera through a web browser..

Important Note: AI cameras can only be configured for one type of AI function. For example, you can not setup an AI camera to do both facial recognition and vehicle detection at the same time. If you need to perform 2 different types of AI functions, then you need 2 cameras.
This is an IP67 rated security camera. The weatherproof housing provides 100% protection from dust and 100% protection from water intrusion. This camera can safely be installed outdoors in areas that have a extremely heavy rain and high humidity. It can also be installed in very cold climates and along ocean coasts where there is salt water in the air.
The camera body is made with high quality, corrosion-proof alloy aluminum. Stainless steel mounting screws are included for installation. CCTV Camera Pros highly recommends IP67 security cameras for outdoor installations. You can learn more about

Vandal Dome Camera w/ Base Plate
Here is a picture of the IP-A4VD vandal dome camera with the optional base plate / junction box (part VT-J207). The optional base plate provides a weatherproof compartment for the RJ45 PoE network connection and other cable leads of the camera. CCTV Camera Pros recommends adding the base plate to this vandal dome camera for all outdoor installations.
Vandal Proof Dome w/ Optional Arm Mount
Here is a picture of the IP-A4VD vandal proof camera with the optional arm mount (part VT-JP407). Please note that the optional base plate / junction box (VT-J207) is also required to use the arm mount. The arm bracket can be used for wall mount installations, but is not required. You can wall mount the IP-A4VD vandal-proof camera by using only the optional base plate.
Motorized Zoom IP Camera
Watch this video to see the motorized zoom lens of the IP-A4BZ controlled using a Viewtron NVR. This is the same 2.8-12mm motorized varifocal lens that the IP-A4VD has. The video also demonstrates controlling the zoom lens via the Viewtron mobile app for iPhone and video management software for Mac PCs. Please note that the Android app and Windows software works exactly the same and all are included with Viewtron recorders and IP cameras.

AI Features
Here are some of the AI functions (artificial intelligence) that are supported by this IP camera.
The vehicle detection function of Viewtron AI cameras is much more reliable than video motion technique used by a non-AI camera. Traditional video motion detection produces a lot of false alerts. A well trained AI camera can detect cars and motorcycles in real time and with 99% accuracy. Object detection events can trigger alarms such as video recording, mobile app push notifications, DVR buzzer, photo snapshots, and email alerts.
In addition to the built-in siren and alarm lights, the IP-AX4D also has alarm input ports and alarm relay output ports. Installers can easily connect external alarm devices such as
magnetic door sensors / widow sensors and passive infrared motion detectors to the alarm input port of this IP camera. Ports 3 and 4 on the terminal block are the input ports.
The alarm relay output ports can be used to connect external alarm devices such as strobe lights and audio sirens. Ports 1 and 2 on the wire terminal block are the alarm relay ports. You can watch this video to learn

When a human is detected inside the intrusion zone, the NVR records the event, takes a snapshot for the event bookmark, and sends a mobile app push notification.

Watch this video to see how Mike uses a Viewtron AI camera to monitor the construction of the pool in his back yard. When a person enters the intrusion zone, the camera triggers an alarm on the Viewtron NVR. The NVR sends a
push notification to the iPhone app. Viewtron IP cameras and NVRs also support push alerts to the Android mobile app.
The person detection function of Viewtron AI cameras works the same as vehicle / car detection. An intrusion zone is mapped out on the DVR interface. The only difference is that human detection is selected in the setup, instead of vehicles. The red rectangle is the intrusion zone in in the above screenshot. You can see when Mike crosses over the intrusion zone, he is detected as a human and an alarm event is triggered.

The face detection function of Viewtron AI cameras makes it easy to trigger alarms based on a human face appearing within the view of the camera. The above screenshot was captured using a Viewtron IP-A4D dome AI camera connected to a
Viewtron IP camera NVR. When a face is detected, the event is recorded in the NVR's database. Thumbnail images can be displays (like you see above) for easy access to playback the recorded video of the facial detection.

View Your Security Cameras Remotely
The IP-A4VD works great with
Viewtron hybrid security camera DVRs and Viewtron IP camera NVRs with PoE. Viewtron hybrids support BNC cameras and network IP cameras up to 4K resolution. Viewtron NVRs support IP cameras and have built-in power over Ethernet. The remote camera viewing apps are able to connect directly to Viewtron IP cameras and also to DVRs / NVRs.
PoE for IP Camera
This IP camera is PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e network cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CAT6 cable can also be used. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
