The Viewtron IP-PTZ-440 is an auto-tracking PTZ camera with 360 degree rotation, 40x optical zoom, and built-in AI software (artificial intelligence). This is a 4 megapixel resolution IP pan tilt zoom dome camera with built-in IR night vision. The IR night vision is effective up to 300 meters / 1000 feet. This camera also has excellent
night surveillance capability without IR.
The built-in AI software supports human detection and vehicle detection. Intrusion zones can be setup so that when a person and / or vehicle enters the intrusion zone, the camera automatically tracks the object, using autonomous pan tilt zoom controls, until the object has exited the intrusion zone. Viewtron IP camera NVR with this camera. This IP camera is ONVIF protocol compliant so that it can be used with any ONVIF compatible NVR, however in order to use the AI software functions, you must use a Viewtron IP camera NVR or configure the AI software functions by directly logging into the camera through a web browser.

Important Note: AI cameras can only be configured for one type of AI function. For example, you can not setup an AI camera to do both facial recognition and vehicle detection at the same time. If you need to perform 2 different types of AI functions, then you need 2 cameras.

Wall Mount w/ Junction Box (optional)
The VT-JZ1 is a
wall mount bracket with built-in junction box. This wall mount bracket can be used with all Viewtron pan tilt zoom cameras.
If you are going to install the IP-PTZ-440 using PoE (power over Ethernet), you MUST use this
802.3at PoE injector. You may connect the PoE injector to any of the PoE ports on the back of the NVR, then connect the output of the injector to the PTZ camera. The PoE ports on Viewtron NVRs are 802.3af, which is not the high powered PoE type required by this camera. The network cable that connects the PoE injector to the camera can be up to 320 feet long.
PoE Injector
The
POE-AT1 PoE injector is now included with the IP-PTZ-440. Please note that this is high powered 802.3at PoE injector / PoE midspan. It outputs 30 watts of power. A standard 802.3af PoE switch does NOT provide enough power to this PTZ camera.

Please note that most of the below video demos were recorded using the Viewtron IP-PTZ-425, which is a 4 megapixel 25x zoom IP pan tilt zoom camera. The IP-PTZ-440 is the same 4 megapixel auto-tracking PTZ as the IP-PTZ-425 except

25x Zoom

PTZ Controls on NVR
When the IP-PTZ-425 is not locked into auto-tracking mode, users may control the pan, tilt, zoom directly from a Viewtron NVR using the USB mouse. The above screenshot shows the PTZ controls enabled in the lower right while the camera is in full screen live display mode on the NVR.
The IP-PTZ-425 has alarm input ports and alarm relay output ports. Installers can easily connect external alarm devices such as
magnetic door sensors / widow sensors and passive infrared motion detectors to the alarm input port of this IP camera. Ports 3 and 4 on the terminal block are the input ports.
The alarm relay output ports can be used to connect external alarm devices such as strobe lights and audio sirens. Ports 1 and 2 on the wire terminal block are the alarm relay ports. You can watch this video to learn

Intelligent Video Analytics
The IP-PTZ-440 is has built-in software for advanced video analytics. The following Intelligent Video Analytics are supported by this camera.
- Perimeter Protection - Line crossing, region entrance/exiting perimeter intrusion (human/motor vehicle/ non-motor vehicle classification)
- Auto-Tracking - Upon perimeter intrusion detection, this camera can auto-track human and vehicle objects
- Target Counting - Line crossing human/motor vehicle/non-motor vehicle counting
- Exception Detection - Scene change, video blur and video color cast detection
The vehicle detection function of Viewtron AI cameras is much more reliable than video motion technique used by a non-AI camera. Traditional video motion detection produces a lot of false alerts. A well trained AI camera can detect cars and motorcycles in real time and with 99% accuracy. Object detection events can trigger alarms such as video recording, mobile app push notifications, DVR buzzer, photo snapshots, and email alerts.
The person detection function of Viewtron AI cameras works the same as vehicle / car detection. An intrusion zone is mapped out on the DVR interface. The only difference is that human detection is selected in the setup, instead of vehicles. The red rectangle is the intrusion zone in in the above screenshot. You can see when Mike crosses over the intrusion zone, he is detected as a human and an alarm event is triggered.
