The HCPRO-SD380 smoke detector security camera is an excellent choice for indoor covert surveillance. This professional spy camera is completely hidden in the smoke detector housing. A very small cone / pinhole lens peeks out of the side of the smoke detector plastic housing and is virtually undetectable and makes this an excellent spy cam. This HD security camera easily mounts to ceiling tiles and other ceiling materials.
Important Update! The HCPRO-SD380 is now a 4-in-1 selectable HD-over-Coax security camera and has a built-in audio surveillance microphone. The following video formats are selectable using the OSD joystick that is attached to the camera's video cable.

This video was captured using the latest version the SD380 running on 1080p HD-TVI video mode. The outstanding video quality seen in this video is also experienced in 1080p AHD and HDCVI video modes.

Analog CCTV Video Demo (CVBS mode)
This demo shows the surveillance video quality that can be captured with the HCPRO-SD380. The camera used in this video is mounted in the far corner of the room. The size of the room is 29 feet by 28 feet, and the door is 36 feet away from the camera. The smoke detector camera is ceiling mounted at nine feet high. Please note that this video was captured in standard definition / analog CCTV mode.

Ceiling Mount Installation
This image shows how the HCPRO-SD380 was installed in CCTV Camera Pros testing studio. This is the camera that was used in the above video. Our studio has a raw industrial ceiling, so we use a piece of wood to simulate the ceiling mount. This camera can easily be mounted on drywall or ceiling tile type ceilings.
Notice how small the pinhole lens is on the front side of the camera, making this one of the best covert spy cameras that we supply.

Here is a snapshot image was captured using by connecting the above camera to an
iDVR-PRO HD DVR. For this capture, the camera was running in 1080p HD-TVI mode. The same high-quality images can be expected in AHD and HDCVI modes. Analog CCTV mode (CVBS) will be a much lower resolution.

The latest version of the HCPRO-SD380 has a built-in audio surveillance mic. It is optional to use. To enable audio recording, installers can use our
pre-made security camera cables with audio to connect the mic to the audio input of a DVR. You can refer to this cable installation guide to see how. If you DO NOT want to use audio, simply do not connect the RCA audio cable.
Installers can easily select the video mode using the small joystick that is attached to the camera's video cable. Simply hold the joystick in any direction for 5 seconds to switch to that video mode.
An optional
BNC to HDMI converter can be ordered with this camera. The converter allows you to connect your security camera to a TV via the HDMI input of your TV. In addition to the BNC video input on the converter, there is also a BNC loop output so that you can connect the camera to a security camera DVR in addition to a TV / monitor. The BNC loop output is optional to use.
This device can be used solely as a way to connect your security camera to a TV for a live view only or you can also use the BNC output to also connect the camera's video to a second device, such as a DVR for recording video surveillance footage. You can see this in the above installation diagram.
