The Vivotek FD8371V is a smart IR network dome camera featuring a recording resolution of
2048 x 1536 at 30 frames per second or 1920 x 1080 at up to 60 frames per second. The Vivotek FD8371V includes a 3 ~ 10mm varifocal lens that allows the installer to adjust the angle of view from a very wide angle to a more zoomed view.
The
Smart Focus System allows the installer to dial in the perfect viewing angle remotely using the built-in stepping motor and onscreen focus assist display of the camera. This camera features a P-Iris lens which uses the built-in stepping motor to maintain the iris opening at an optimal level at all times to provide better image quality, depth of field and sharpness.
For low light environments, the FD8371V has built-in
IR LEDs with an effective illumination range of up to 20 meters / 60 feet. Smart IR technology provides anti overexposure by adjusting the IR intensity based on environmental changes in light, such as an object moving towards the camera. A Removable IR Cut Filter provides clearer images by blocking the unusable infrared lighting and only allowing the visible light to pass through.
Further enhancing the low light image quality is the
3D Noise Reduction Technology, which reduces noise (graininess) caused by the image sensor. This feature also frees up bandwidth because there is less data to transfer when the noise is removed from the image. When this is combined with the WDR Enhancement feature, the camera will be able to identify details with high clarity in very bright or dark environments. WDR Enhancement works by combining the darkest part of the image with the brightest part to create one detailed image.
The
IP66 / IK10outdoor rated housing protects the vital components of the camera from harsh weather, dust, humidity and acts of vandalism, allowing the camera to remain functional in these conditions.
This camera can be powered by either
12V-DC, 24V-AC or POE (Power over Ethernet) 802.3af, allowing for both data and power to be run over one Cat-5e cable. Users can record video clips and snapshots locally to the camera using the built-in Micro SD / SDHC / SDXC Card Slot. The FD8371V is ideal for high traffic outdoor environments where the camera is prone to tampering.
