The SYS-CM8 is a security camera with monitor system that is used for live HD video surveillance display. This live display system includes (1)
22 inch BNC monitor, (1) 180 degree dome surveillance camera, (1) pre-made Siamese security camera cable (various lengths available), and (1) security camera power supply. The BNC-22 is a video surveillance monitor that is natively compatible with the 1080p BNC / coax cable connection of the camera. The BNC-22 monitor comes with a desktop stand and is also VESA 75 wall mount compatible. This monitor displays the 1080p resolution video from the HD-D180 perfectly.

Want to use a different camera?
Customers can use the 180 degree dome camera that is included with this system, upgrade to this
HD-BL8 adjustable lens bullet camera, or remove the included camera from the system and choose from any of these 1080p HD security cameras that CCTV Camera Pros supplies. The BNC-22 monitor is compatible with all of the 1080p BNC cameras that we supply. We also carry live video display systems that support multiple cameras and multi-camera views.
Which camera is best?
The BPRO-OL952 is a bullet style camera with a fixed 3.6mm lens that provides a 90 degree field of view. The BPRO-OL952 does not have IR night vision. The optional dome camera has a 180 degree fixed lens and built-in infrared / night vision. It provides an ultra wide angle of view. Both cameras are HD-over-Coax type security cameras (HD-CCTV). You can see sample photos that show the differences in the angles of view here.
You can also use any of the
HD security cameras found on this page. They are all compatible with this system.
Want to use a larger monitor or standard TV?
CCTV Camera Pros also sells these
live security camera display systems that work with any HDMI TV or monitor. There are also systems available on that page that include a CCTV video multiplexer that is used to display video from multiple cameras on one screen.
Cable Options
CCTV Camera Pros offer pre-made security camera cables for this system in 25, 50, 75, 100, 150 foot lengths. You can run cable ever further if you need to by using a
spool of RG59 Siamese cable instead of the pre-made cables with the BNC connectors already attached.
Setting up our security camera with monitor systems is very simple. This is how it works.
- One end of the pre-made Siamese cable connects to the camera (BNC connector and power lead).
- One the other end of the pre-made Siamese cable the BNC connector connects to the HD BNC video input on the monitor and the power lead plugs into the individual power supply for the camera.
- Plug the security camera's power supply and BNC monitor's power supply into a standard wall outlet.
- Power the monitor on and select the HD BNC video input as the video source.
You Can Install this System with a DVR (optional)
The above diagram shows the SYS-CM8 system can be installed with a DVR. The setup is the same as without a DVR, except the BNC loop output of the monitor is connected to a BNC video input of a
CCTV security camera DVR. Important Note: Using the loop output with a DVR is optional. It is also possible to use the BNC loop output of the monitor to connect to a second monitor if you wish.
Security Camera with Monitor at Retail Store Entrance
Here is an example of a security camera with monitor installed at a retail store. This type of installation is typically used by retail store chains. It creates a theft deterrence and helps customers feel safe knowing that the store uses a video surveillance system. This camera is also recording to a DVR that is stored in the IT closet of the store.
Wall Mount Bracket
CCTV Camera Pros offer an optional articulating wall mount bracket with this system. It is a standard VESA 75 mount that is required by the monitor.
