The Geovision GV-VD2400 is a vandal proof network camera is capable of capturing a video image of
1920 X 1080 (
1080P) resolution at
30 frames per second. This camera provides high resolution images by using the 1/3.2" Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor.
The housing on the GV-VD2400 features an
IP67 weatherproof rating and an
IK10 vandal resistance rating. A
3 ~ 9mm Varifocal lens allows the installer to dial in the perfect viewing angle and the Tri Axis mechanism allows for ceiling or wall mount (
Mounting Positions).
This camera does exceptionally well in low light environments with a color lux rating of 0.08 and a B/W lux rating of 0 with the IR's active. Further enhancing the low light capabilities is the removable IR cut filter, which blocks infrared lighting and only allows the visible light to pass through.
In environments with tricky or ever-changing lighting, the WDR Pro feature provides a solution. WDR Pro works by taking the brightest part of the image and combines it with the darkest part to create one highly detailed, balanced image. This helps to eliminate dark or whited out images.
The GV-VD2400 can provide dual video streams of H.264 and MJPEG. Like all Geovision IP Cameras, a free 32 channel NVR software license is included.
This IP camera is PoE (power over Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
