The PT-102 is a DC power lead splitter that is typically used to share a low voltage power source with two devices such as security cameras. It can also be used with different devices such as a CCTV camera and a surveillance microphone as long as both devices use the same type of low voltage power - 12V DC for example. The single end of the cable has a 2.1mm male plug and the dual end has 2.1mm females. You can see an installation / wiring example here.
Features
- Splits a Low Voltage Power Source
- 2.1mm Male to Dual 2.1mm Female Plugs
- Power 2 Low Voltage Devices from Single Power Supply
- Works with these 12V DC power transformers (not included)
The above installation / wiring diagram shows how the PT-102 can be used to share a single 12V DC power supply between two HD CCTV cameras. This lead splitter can be used with analog CCTV, AHD, HD-TVI, HD-CVI and any other type of security camera (or another electronic device) that uses low voltage and standard 2.1mm power connections.
Wiring a CCTV Camera & Surveillance Microphone
Another use for the PT-102 is to wire stand-alone audio surveillance microphone (one that has its own power input) and a security camera together to share a single power source. In the above wiring diagram, the PT-102 1 to 2 power cable splitter is used to share a single DC power transformer between an HD security camera and mic.
