The Viewtron IP-A8BZ is a 4K IP camera with PoE, built-in IR night vision, and a 2.8-12mm motorized zoom lens / motorized varifocal lens. The IP-A8BZ is also an AI security camera with the following advanced video analytics functions:
vehicle detection, traffic counting camera, person detection, and human face recognition / face detection. This 8mp / 4K IP camera is enclosed in a IP67 rated weatherproof housing so that it can be used for outdoor installations in harsh weather conditions. The built-in IR LEDs provide infrared illumination up to 50 to 70 meters (230 feet). This IP camera is a great choice for home, business, and government surveillance systems.
The 2.8-12mm motorized varifocal lens provides an adjustable 115° to 36° field of view. The zoom lens can be adjusted from the iPhone and Android App. The tri-axis bullet mount allows installers to ceiling mount or wall mount the camera. The optional
installation junction box allows all of the camera's cables to be neatly housed.
This IP camera is ONVIF protocol compliant so that it can be used with any ONVIF compatible NVR, however in order to use the AI software functions, you must use a
Viewtron IP camera NVR or configure the AI software functions by directly logging into the camera through a web browser..

Important Note: AI cameras can only be configured for one type of AI function. For example, you can not setup an AI camera to do both facial recognition and vehicle detection at the same time. If you need to perform 2 different types of AI functions, then you need 2 cameras.
Camera Dimensions
The above image shows the dimensions of the LPR-IP7 in millimeters. For reference 100.3mm = 4 inches. 88.9mm = 3.5 inches. 279.5mm = 11 inches.
This is an IP67 rated security camera. The weatherproof housing provides 100% protection from dust and 100% protection from water intrusion. This camera can safely be installed outdoors in areas that have a extremely heavy rain and high humidity. It can also be installed in very cold climates and along ocean coasts where there is salt water in the air.
The camera body is made with high quality, corrosion-proof alloy aluminum. Stainless steel mounting screws are included for installation. CCTV Camera Pros highly recommends IP67 security cameras for outdoor installations. You can learn more about

The
VT-J302 security camera junction box is an optional installation mount for the IP-A8BZ. There is a bottom and side cable inlet and the cable leads from your camera can neatly be concealed inside this weatherproof enclosure. When the bottom inlet is used, the inlet plug can be moved to the size inlet. This junction box can be used for vertical or horizontal installations.
Here is the IP-A8BZ installed on a pole using the optional VT-J302 junction box. CCTV Camera Pros recommends using the junction box for all outdoor installations.

The mobile apps and desktop PC software for Viewtron supports the ability to monitor Viewtron IP cameras, DVRs, and NVRs that are installed at multiple locations. Multi-device / multi-location camera viewing works using the Android app, as well as the Window and Mac video management software.

The lens is set to the widest angle of view (2.8mm settings) in order to provide video surveillance coverage for Mike's 3 car driveway and entire front yard.

Watch this video to see the motorized zoom lens of the IP-A8BZ controlled using a Viewtron NVR. The video also demonstrates controlling the motorized varifocal lens via the Viewtron mobile app for iPhone. Please note that the Android app works exactly the same and the iPhone all. You can also adjust the lens angle from the Mac and Windows software that is included.
The IP-A8BZ has alarm input ports and alarm relay output ports. Installers can easily connect external alarm devices such as
magnetic door sensors / widow sensors and passive infrared motion detectors to the alarm input port of this IP camera. Ports 3 and 4 on the terminal block are the input ports.
The alarm relay output ports can be used to connect external alarm devices such as strobe lights and audio sirens. Ports 1 and 2 on the wire terminal block are the alarm relay ports. You can watch this video to learn

Pole Installation
CCTV Camera Pros installed an IP-A8BZ on this pole behind our warehouse to get an ultra wide overview of the back of our commercial property. We use this as an overview for our
LPR camera system. With the motorized varifocal lens set at 2.8mm, this IP camera provides a very wide angle of view.
Here is a close-up of the pole installation. The IP-A8BZ is the camera on the left. You can see that we used the optional
outdoor junction box for this installation, which we highly recommend for all outdoor installations.
Here is a screenshot captured from the IP-A8BZ that is installed on the metal pole across the street from our office. The security camera's motorized zoom lens is set to the widest angle - 2.8mm. You can see the 115 degree field of view that it captures. We documented the distances of some of the objects that are in the camera's view to provide some perspective on how large of an area this 4K IP camera can cover. Motorized Zoom Controls
Here is a screenshot captured with the motorized zoom lens controls enabled in on the Viewtron NVR that this camera is connected to. The PTZ controls are used to zoom the camera lens in and out. The is the 12mm lens setting, which is the most narrow and zoomed in lens setting. The blue car is parked 100 feet away from where the camera is mounted.

AI Features
Here are some of the AI functions (artificial intelligence) that are supported by this IP camera.
The vehicle detection function of Viewtron AI cameras is much more reliable than video motion technique used by a non-AI camera. Traditional video motion detection produces a lot of false alerts. A well trained AI camera can detect cars and motorcycles in real time and with 99% accuracy. Object detection events can trigger alarms such as video recording, mobile app push notifications, DVR buzzer, photo snapshots, and email alerts.
Watch this video to see how the IP-A4BZ camera and Viewtron NVR are used to monitor a garbage dumpster for illegal dumping. An intrusion zone is drawn around the dumpster area. When a human is detected inside the intrusion zone, the NVR records the event, takes a snapshot for the event bookmark, and sends a mobile app push notification.

Watch this video to see how Mike uses a Viewtron AI camera to monitor the construction of the pool in his back yard. When a person enters the intrusion zone, the camera triggers an alarm on the Viewtron NVR. The NVR sends a
push notification to the iPhone app. Viewtron IP cameras and NVRs also support push alerts to the Android mobile app.
The person detection function of Viewtron AI cameras works the same as vehicle / car detection. An intrusion zone is mapped out on the DVR interface. The only difference is that human detection is selected in the setup, instead of vehicles. The red rectangle is the intrusion zone in in the above screenshot. You can see when Mike crosses over the intrusion zone, he is detected as a human and an alarm event is triggered.

The face detection function of Viewtron AI cameras makes it easy to trigger alarms based on a human face appearing within the view of the camera. The above screenshot was captured using a Viewtron IP-A4D dome AI camera connected to a
Viewtron IP camera NVR. When a face is detected, the event is recorded in the NVR's database. Thumbnail images can be displays (like you see above) for easy access to playback the recorded video of the facial detection.

Viewtron hybrid security camera DVRs and Viewtron IP camera NVRs with PoE. Viewtron hybrids support BNC cameras and network IP cameras up to 4K resolution. Viewtron NVRs support IP cameras and have built-in power over Ethernet. The remote camera viewing apps are able to connect directly to Viewtron IP cameras and also to DVRs / NVRs.
PoE for IP Camera
This IP camera is PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e network cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CAT6 cable can also be used. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
