Video Search and Playback for iDVR-E Surveillance DVRs

Follow these instructions to search for and playback recorded video on the iDVR-E AHD hybrid surveillance DVRs. Users can search for recorded video based on continuous or event / motion recording. You can find the hybrid DVRs these instructions are applicable to here.

Important Note: these instructions were documented by using the USB mouse that is included with the DVR. Users can also use the wireless infrared remote control that is also included to navigate the menu system of the DVR.

Search and Playback

Using a USB mouse, right click to display the menu and select the Time Search icon (Shown Below).

You will then be prompted to enter the DVR password ("000000" - six zeros by default) (Shown Below).

Then you will be brought to the Time Search menu. Here you will select the date and time that you wish to view. Step 1: First you will select the Date that you wish to view using the calendar on the left. Step 2: Now you will select the specific Time that you wish to playback. The Event / Motion recording will be displayed in Red and the Continuous recording will be displayed in Yellow. You can change the time intervals by using the left and right arrows located at the top. You can choose from intervals of 30 seconds, 5 minutes and 1 hour. In our example below we are using intervals of 1 hour. Double click on the time you wish to begin playing at. You can select an individual camera, or all channels by using the bar at the top. (Shown Below).

Your selected video will now begin to play. You can control the speeds of the playback by using the controls at the bottom. Click the Stop icon once you are finished to return to the live view screen. (Shown Below).
