Video Backup and Playback for iDVR-E Hybrid Surveillance DVRs
Follow these instructions to backup recorded video from the iDVR-E Hybrid DVR and play it back on a PC. The instructions below explain how to export the recorded video using both the native file format and AVI video format.
Important Note: these instructions were documented by using the USB mouse that is included with the DVR. Users can also use the wireless infrared remote control that is also included to navigate the menu system of the DVR.
Video Backup / Export
First, stop the recording of the iDVR-E Surveillance DVR. Then
Right Click the mouse to display the Main Menu and select the Backup icon. (Shown Below)
Now insert a USB Thumbdrive into one of the USB ports of the DVR. On the
Backup menu, select which camera(s) you would like to export. Then select whether you would like to backup All Data or Events Only (if you have your DVR setup for event recording). Next you will select the File Format, which is either the native file format (Default) or AVI. If you are using the native format (Default), you will have to export the MCDPLAYER to view the video on a PC. Lastly, you will select the Time Range that you would like to backup. Once you have everything the way you want it, click the Start button to begin the process. (Shown Below)
You will then see the status of the video backup below. Once the backup is complete, you may unplug the USB Thumbdrive from the DVR. (Shown Below)
Exported Video Playback
Now insert the USB Thumbdrive with the exported video footage into a PC. Below are the instructions for both the Native video format and the AVI format.
Native Video Format

Folder icon in the upper left corner of the player and select the video files located on the USB Thumbdrive. (Shown Below)
AVI Video Format
On the PC, open the folder that contains the exported video files. Now select the video file that you wish to view and they will automatically begin to play on your PC media player (as long as your media player supports the AVI format). The
