Update! Auto Tracking PTZ Camera
The GeoVision GV-SD2300 is no longer available. CCTV Camera Pros highly recommends this
Viewtron auto-tracking PTZ camera w/ 25x Zoom as a replacement to consider.
Watch this video to see how to setup the car / motor vehicle detection, intrusion detection, and auto-tracking features of this IP PTZ camera. You can
watch additional video demos here.
The Geovision GV-SD2300 is an Outdoor IP PTZ Speed Dome Camera capable of recording in
1920 x 1080 (1080p HD) video resolution at 30 frames per second or in 1280 x 720 at up to 60 frames per second. The GV-SD2300 has a 20x optical zoom in addition to a 12x digital zoom.
This pan tilt zoom camera can spin a full 360 degrees endlessly and tilt 180 degrees to provide a wide range of surveillance coverage. The IP67 / IK10 rated housing on the camera allows it to withstand dust, harsh weather conditions, humidity and acts of vandalism. For low light environments the GV-SD2300 has a color lux rating of 0.02 and a black and white lux rating of 0.001, allowing it to maintain a clear image with minimal lighting.
The WDR Enhancement feature is especially useful in environments with lighting variances. It works by combining the brightest part of the image with the darkest part to create one highly detailed image. Further enhancing the image quality is the IR Cut Filter, which blocks any unusable lighting and only allows the visible light to pass through.
The Geovision GV-SD2300 can have up to 255 preset viewing positions that can be set to run on a timed schedule. This camera can be powered by the included 24V-AC power supply or by POE++ (Sold separately, listed as an option above) allowing both data and power to be run over one Cat-5E cable.

Object Auto-Tracking PTZ
This PTZ camera is capable of object auto-tracking which means that when a moving object is detected in a zone defined by the system administrator, the camera can automatically pan, tilt, and zoom to track the moving object. This is possible by using the Geovision NVR software that is included with this camera (and all Geovision IP cameras). Here is a
link to the setup instructions for auto-tracking PTZ.
