Geovision IP Camera Remote Access Android
These step by step instructions will walk the user through the process of accessing a Geovision IP Camera remotely using the GV-Eye Android application. The application allows users to store a number of devices for quick and easy access. It also has the ability to control a Geovision PTZ IP camera and take snapshots of the live video stream. The GV-Eye Android app is currently available in the Google Play Store for free.
Geovision IP Camera Remote Access Android
1. First ensure that the correct ports are forwarded in your router. If you have yet to do this, please visit our Geovision IP Camera Network Setup article.
2. Now download the Geovision GV-Eye Android application from the Google Play Store. Once the app is installed, go ahead and launch it on your Android.
3. On the main page of the application, enter the Favorite Name (Can be anything you want), Remote IP Address, Port 10000, Username and Password of your Geovision IP Camera (3.1). Then press the "+" button to add the camera to the device list (3.2). (Shown Below)
4. You will be directed back to the main page, here you will press the camera model that you wish to view (4.1). Then press the Connect button to view your camera (4.2). (Shown Below)
5. If all the information was entered correctly, you will be able to view your Geovision IP camera. (Shown Below)
6. Button Explanation
The Snapshot button takes a screenshot of the live view and saves it to the phones gallery (6.1).
The Audio button enables and disables audio (6.2).
The PTZ button allows the user to control a Geovision PTZ camera (6.3).
The Stream button switches between video stream 1 and 2 (6.4).
The Grid button switches between various grid views to display multiple devices at once (6.5).
The I/O button forces an attached alarm (if any) to trigger (6.6).
