The GV-VMS020 is a 20 channel 3rd party license for the VMS software from Geovision. The 32 channel version of VMS is free to use with GV-IP cameras, but if 3rd party IP cameras are being used, then a 3rd party license is required for each 3rd party IP camera. If you are using more than 32 cameras and have 3rd party IP cameras, then you will need the GV-VMS Pro license and a 3rd party license for each 3rd party IP camera.
The Geovision VMS (Video Management Software) is an intuitive video management system that supports, and records, up to 64 channels of Geovision and/or third-party IP cameras. A drag and drop setup format allows the user to easily adjust the live view and playback layout. The GV-VMS software includes a variety of intelligent video analytics to reduce the need for manual supervision. Users can remotely access live view and recordings from anywhere using web browsers and mobile devices using the built-in webcam server.
IP camera software, also known as network camera software and NVR software, allows you to record surveillance video from IP security cameras to a central computer/server over an IP network. Geovision GV-VMS IP camera software also allows you to view all of your IP cameras remotely over the Internet together on one screen.
Please Note: If you are using third-party IP devices with the 32 or 64 channel GV-VMS software, then an additional third-party license will have to be purchased for each third-party device.
