Bullet Security Camera Update
Please note that the HD-BL8 bullet camera has been discontinued. CCTV Camera Pros highly recommends the BPRO-OL952 bullet camera as a replacement.
The AHD, HD-TVI, and HDCVI modes support 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080). The analog CCTV mode (CVBS) supports 960H resolution (960 x 480). Installers can easily select the video mode using the small joystick that is attached to the camera's video cable. The 3.5mm to 16mm varifocal lens is adjusted using the twist-rings on the camera body and allows installers to adjust the field of view between an 82 to 16-degree field of view and a much more zoomed in angle

The HD-BL8 is enclosed in an IP66 weatherproof bullet-style housing which makes it a great choice for indoor and outdoor installations. The tri-axis mounting bracket allows installers to ceiling mount or wall mount the camera and adjust the angle of view in any direction.
This camera is typically connected to a
surveillance DVR by hard wiring it using the same RG-59 or RG6 coaxial cable that is used for analog CCTV cameras.

The above image was captured using the HD-BL8 running in HD-TVI mode and with the vari-focal lens adjusted to the widest angle of view. This is the 3.5mm lens setting. The camera was mounted in the tech room at CCTV Camera Pros office in West Palm Beach, Florida. This room is 13 feet wide by 21 feet long. All of the lights are on in the room so that the camera is operating in daytime / color mode.
Low-Light Surveillance
Here is a low-light surveillance image captured by the HD-BL8. When light levels are low, this camera switches to black and white mode. All of the lights are off. There is ambient light coming from the hallway because the door was left 1/3 open. You can not tell by the image, but the room is very dark. This camera does well in low light, however, we recommend an infrared camera if you need to capture surveillance in ultra-low or zero light.
16mm Lens Setting
We adjusted the camera's adjustable lens to the 16mm settings when we captured this image. The camera is mounted in the same location of the room, which is 22 feet away from this license plate. *Please note that this is not an
LPR camera. The license plate is just being used to demonstrate how much the lens can be adjusted to a zoomed in angle.
Remote Camera View via iPhone Mobile App
In our testing, we connected our HD-BL8 to an
iDVR-PRO HD surveillance DVR so that we could run the camera at 1080p resolution. In addition to providing a recording platform, the iDVR-PRO DVRs lets user login from remotely over the Internet to view the camera live. The below image was captured using the iDVR-PRO Viewer app for iPhone.
Android Mobile App Viewing
These images were captured while using the
iDVR-PRO Viewer mobile app for Android. The camera is still connected to the iDVR-PRO16M at our office and we are accessing the DVR using our local WIFI network. This works the same as viewing the camera from remotely over the Internet using LTE, 4G, 3G, etc.
Video Mode Selector
Installers can easily select the video mode using the small joystick that is attached to the camera's video cable. Simply hold the joystick in any direction for 5 seconds to switch to that video mode.

An optional
BNC to HDMI converter can be ordered with this camera. The converter allows you to connect your security camera to a TV via the HDMI input of your TV. In addition to the BNC video input on the converter, there is also a BNC loop output so that you can connect the camera to a security camera DVR in addition to a TV / monitor. The BNC loop output is optional to use.
This device can be used solely as a way to connect your security camera to a TV for a live view only or you can also use the BNC output to also connect the camera's video to a second device, such as a DVR for recording video surveillance footage. You can see this in the above installation diagram.
