The Geovision GV-VD2540-E is an extreme cold weather rated arctic dome IP camera featuring 2 megapixel resolution (1920 x 1080) at up to 30 frames per second (Demo Video). The Geovision GV-VD2540-E includes a Motorized 3 ~ 9mm lens and 1/2.8" Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor. With the motorized zoom lens, the user is able to zoom in up to 3x and adjust the angle of view remotely from the camera's web interface.

The GV-VD2540-E features a IK10+ / IP67 rated housing to protect the vital components of the camera from acts of vandalism as well as harsh weather conditions. In addition to weather, the housing can protect the camera in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 122°F. A tri-axis mounting mechanism allows the user to manually pan, tilt and roll the camera to get the perfect viewing angle for their application.

This camera is exceptional in low light environments with a lux rating of 0.02 in both Color and B/W mode without the use of IR. Below 0.02 lux, the Infrared LEDs activate and provide an effective range of 25 meters / 82 feet.

The WDR feature helps to provide high quality images in environments with challenging lighting conditions, such as bright back-lighting. It works by combining the brightest part of the image with the darkest part to create one highly detailed image.

To further enhance the low light capabilities, the GV-VD2540-E features a Removable IR Cut Filter, which blocks infrared lighting and only allows visible light to pass through.

The GV-VD2540-E can be powered by either 12V-DC, 24V-AC or POE (Power over Ethernet) and includes a Micro SD Card Slot for local storage recording. Like all Geovision cameras, the GV-VD2540-E includes a 32 channel NVR software license for recording and playback.
