The above diagram shows how to wire video baluns for HD CCTV cameras that use RJ-45 connectors to a security camera, DVR, and power supply. The concept is the same for baluns that use terminal blocks instead of RJ-45 connectors, except the installer must match up and attach the pairs of the CAT-5 that are being used. This example uses the VB-HD5P model baluns.
Video Balun Wiring with Power Supply Box
This diagram uses the same baluns as above except a
multi-camera power supply box is used instead of an individual power supply for the camera. The installer attaches a 2.1mm PT-3 power lead to the balun, then attaches the wires directly to the power supply box with it's screw terminals.
