The Geovision GV-VD3440 is a Vandal-proof dome IP camera with wide dynamic range (WDR) built in. This network dome features 3 megapixel resolution
(2048 x 1536) at
up to 20 frames per second (
Demo Video). The Geovision GV-VD3440 includes a
Motorized 3 ~ 9mm lens and 1/3.2" Progressive Scan CMOS image sensor for exceptional image quality. With the motorized lens, the user is able to zoom in up to 3x and adjust the angle of view remotely from the camera's interface.
The GV-VD3440 features a
IK10+ / IP67 rated housing to protect the vital components of the camera from acts of vandalism as well as harsh weather conditions. A tri-axis mounting mechanism allows the user to manually pan, tilt and roll the camera to get the perfect viewing angle for their application.
This camera does very well in low light environments with a lux rating of 0.08 in Color mode and 0.05 in B/W mode without the use of infrared. Below 0.05 lux, the
Infrared LEDs activate and provide an
effective range of 20 meters / 60 feet.
The
WDR Pro feature helps to provide high quality images in environments with challenging lighting conditions, such as bright back-lighting. It works by combining the brightest part of the image with the darkest part to create one highly detailed image.
To further enhance the low light capabilities, the GV-VD3440 features a
Removable IR Cut Filter, which blocks infrared lighting and only allows visible light to pass through.
The GV-VD3440 can be powered by either
12V-DC,
24V-AC or
POE 802.3AT (Power over Ethernet) and includes a
Micro SD Card Slot for local storage recording. Like all Geovision cameras, the GV-VD3440 includes a 32 channel NVR software license for recording and playback.
This IP camera is PoE (power over Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
