The HD-D180 is a high definition dome security camera with a 180 degree fisheye lens. This is the one that CCTV Camera Pros used for the following video demonstration. It is mounted to a ceiling tile in our sales office.
At first, I have all of the lights on in the room to test the color day time mode of the security camera. Please note that this room is 29 feet wide by 16 feet deep.
I stop in front of the camera about 8 feet away.
Next, I move closer to the camera. Here I am almost directly below where the camera is mounted.
Next, I am going to turn all of the lights off in the room so that the camera switches to infrared night vision mode. There is no light in this room except for some ambient light from our fire exit signs.
You can see that the cameras built-in IR LEDs do a great job of illuminating this entire room.
When I move closer to the camera you will see that the smart IR function of this camera automatically adjusts the intensity of the infrared to compensate for close objects. Smart IR ensures that close objects are not white’d out from infrared illumination that is too strong.
When the lights are turned back on, the camera senses the light level and automatically switches back to daytime color mode.
The HD-D180 has 4 selectable video modes: AHD, HD-TVI, HDCVI, and analog CCTV. This allows it to be used with traditional analog CCTV DVRs as well as the latest HD over coax DVRs.
1080p resolution is supported in AHD, HD-TVI, and HDCVI video modes.
960H resolution is supported in analog CCTV mode.
The dome housing of the D180 is IP66 weatherproof rated so this camera can be installed indoors or outdoors.
The 180 degree fish-eye lens provides an ultra wide angle of view.
The 24 piece IR LEDs support infrared illumination up to 32 feet.
The eyeball dome mount of this camera supports ceiling or wall mount installations.
