The HD-D180 is a 180 degree dome security camera that can run in 4 video modes: AHD, HD-TVI, HD-CVI (HD over Coax), and analog CCTV. The
video formats are selectable using the OSD joystick that is attached to the camera's video cable. This 1080p / 2-megapixel dome camera has 24 infrared LEDs built-in that enable it to see in complete darkness up to 32 feet. When light levels are low, the camera's sensor automatically enables the night vision mode. This camera can capture video in normal, low light and zero light conditions.
The HD-D180 is a turret-style camera that allows the lens to be swiveled in any direction during installation. Turret security cameras can be ceiling or wall mounted. The white dome housing is IP66 weatherproof rated so that this camera can be installed for indoor and outdoor video surveillance.
The 2.5mm fisheye lens captures a 180-degree field of view (170-degree effective range), comparable to the best megapixel fisheye cameras available. The eyeball-style housing and mount allow this camera to be ceiling or wall mounted. The lens can be rotated in any direction during installation.
The 180 degree / ultra wide angle lens of this camera allows it to provide a complete overview of small to medium-sized rooms.

HD over coax cameras are
hard-wired to a DVR using the same RG59 coaxial cable that is used for analog CCTV cameras.
The built-in OSD (On Screen Display) of the HD-D180 lets installers adjust advanced features such as Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), SENS-UP, shutter speed, and 3D digital noise reduction.

The above image was captured using an HD-D180 connected to an iDVR-PRO DVR. The camera is mounted in a medium sized room at CCTV Camera Pros office in West Palm Beach, Florida. This room is 29 feet wide by 16 feet deep. All of the lights are on in the room so that the camera is operating in daytime / color mode.
Here is another picture captured using the HD-D180. Mike is positioned almost directly below the camera to show-off the ultra-wide angle of view that this 180 lens provides. It is actually a slightly less than 180 degrees but not by much. You will notice there is a small section of the room cutoff on the right size. The effective angle of the lens is about 170-173 degrees. As with most 180-degree security cameras, the view is slightly less than a 180-degree angle.
Infrared / Zero Light Night Vision Surveillance
Here is an infrared surveillance image captured by the HD-D180. Mike is positioned about 6 feet in front of the camera. All of the lights are off in the room and the camera's IR LEDs are turned on. There is a small amount of ambient light from our fire exit sign. Otherwise, the room is completely dark.

Optional Mounts & Brackets
The following installation mounts and brackets are available as add-ons for this camera.
The optional
VT-J301 security camera junction box is an optional installation mount for this camera. There is a bottom and side cable inlet and the cable leads from your camera can neatly be concealed inside this weatherproof enclosure. When the bottom inlet is used, the inlet plug can be moved to the size inlet. This junction box can be used for ceiling or wall mount installations.
This is the optional
VT-L203 dome L-Bracket mount that can be used to install dome cameras to a wall. The product code is VT-L203 and it can be added via the dropdown options when ordering this product.
Product Specification
Installers can easily select the video mode using the small joystick that is attached to the camera's video cable. Simply hold the joystick in any direction for 5 seconds to switch to that video mode.
Remote Camera View via Mobile
iPhone App View
In our testing, we connected our HD-D180 to an
iDVR-PRO HD over coax DVR. In addition to providing a recording platform, the iDVR-PRO lets users log in from remotely over the Internet to view the camera live. The below images were captured while viewing the camera while using the iDVR-PRO Viewer app for iPhone.

Android Mobile App Viewing
These images were captured while using the
iDVR-PRO Viewer mobile app for Android. The camera is still connected to the iDVR-PRO16M at our office and we are accessing the DVR using WIFI on our demo network. This works the same as viewing the camera from remotely over the Internet.

Bullet 180 Degree Camera
CCTV Camera Pros also has this bullet-style
wide angle security camera available. It provides the say 180 degree view that the HD-D180 dome does.
An optional
BNC to HDMI converter can be ordered with this camera. The converter allows you to connect your security camera to a TV via the HDMI input of your TV. In addition to the BNC video input on the converter, there is also a BNC loop output so that you can connect the camera to a security camera DVR in addition to a TV / monitor. The BNC loop output is optional to use.
This device can be used solely as a way to connect your security camera to a TV for a live view only or you can also use the BNC output to also connect the camera's video to a second device, such as a DVR for recording video surveillance footage. You can see this in the above installation diagram.
