HD-CVI Cameras | 1080p CVI CCTV Security Cameras
HD-CVI cameras are a type of analog high definition CCTV security camera (megapixel video over coaxial cabling / HD over coax) that supports up to 1080p video resolution. HD-CVI cameras are a great alternative to traditional analog CCTV and megapixel IP surveillance cameras because of their superior video quality and ability to use RG59 coax cable. CVI cameras are used by professional and DIY installers because they are so affordable and simple to install.
For recording, HDCVI security cameras must be used with a CVI compatible DVR. Please confirm that your DVR is compatible with 1080p CVI cameras before purchasing.

Coax Cable for HD-CVI Cameras
One of the advantages of HDCVI security cameras is that they can use the same RG59 coax cable as traditional analog CCTV cameras and the cable runs can be just as long (max distance about 800 feet). Our RG59 Siamese cable options have been tested with HDCVI cameras and are guaranteed by CCTV Camera Pros to work with the CVI cameras that we supply.

CVI Video Over CAT5 Cable
In addition to RG59 coax cable, CVI cameras can also be wired using CAT-5 / CAT-5e cable by using video baluns. Video baluns convert the UTP cable in CAT5 to BNC connections on the camera and DVR end of the cable run. You can learn more about
