CCTV Camera Pros introduces its first outdoor day/night WDR network camera, IP-V97142. It is equipped with a wide dynamic range CMOS sensor to handle a variety of challenging lighting conditions.
The IP-V97142 WDR Network Camera is designed for outdoor 24-hour surveillance with such features as day/night and vandal-proof functions that allow users to easily build a cost-effective IP surveillance system without additional accessories. With a mechanical IR-cut filter and built-in Infrared LED's (illuminating up to 45 ft.), it can automatically remove the filter and turn on the IR illuminators at night. In addition, the IP66-rated weatherproof housing shields this WDR network camera from water and dust, allowing it to be applied in harsh weather conditions outdoors.

When to Use a WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Network Camera
The WDR (wide dynamic range) feature can be very helpful to cope with very challenging lighting conditions. It is capable of capturing both of the dark part and bright part and combining the differences into a scene to generate a highly realistic image. Because it preserves as much information in the video as possible, the IP-V97142 WDR Network Camera helps provide video quality closer to the capabilities of the human eye. Consequently, it is largely applied in high contrast environments such as lobby entrances, parking lots, ATM's and loading areas.
The IP-V97142 WDR Network Camera allows users to compliment their IP surveillance system by reproducing clear images in extreme high-contrast environments in both indoor and outdoor surveillance applications.
PoE for IP Camera
This IP camera is PoE (power over Ethernet) compliant which allows the installer to run a single CAT-5e cable to provide both power and data connectivity to the camera. CCTV Camera Pros supplies the following PoE injectors and PoE network switches which are compatible with this camera.
