The HD-BL40 is a bullet style HD surveillance camera that uses HD-SDI CCTV technology that is capable of capturing video at 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080). The HD-BL40 is enclosed in an IP68 weatherproof housing so that is can be used for indoor or outdoor surveillance. The tri-axis mount make this camera easy to install to a ceiling or wall. This HD security camera supports zero light night vision surveillance with the use of the 40 IR LEDs that are built-in and automatically turn on when light levels are low.
The 1/3 inch Sony CMOS image sensor and progressive scan system enable this camera to capture HD video at 1080p or 720p resolutions. This camera has a fixed 4.3mm lens which gives a wide angle of view that requires no focus adjustment by the installer.
The on screen display (OSD) built into the BL40 is accessed via a small joystick enclosed in an access area on the rear of the housing. Using the OSD, installers can adjust settings such as the WDR (wide dynamic range), digital noise reduction, sens-up, smart IR, and day / night settings of the camera.
HD-SDI CCTV cameras can use RG59 Siamese coax cable just like traditional CCTV cameras, but must be used in conjunction with an HD-SDI DVR to record video.
This camera is an excellent choice for indoor or outdoor video surveillance applications where high definition video is desired.
IMPORTANT NOTE: HD-SDI cameras are compatible only with HD-SDI DVRs. Also, this camera ONLY works with HD-SDI surveillance DVRs. It DOES NOT work with video production SDI equipment.

The following video shows two 1080p resolution videos that were captured with the HD-BL40. The first video was captured in color with all of the lights turned on in the room and the second was captured with zero light in the room and the camera in night vision mode with IRs on.
Color Day Mode Snapshot
The following snapshots were taken using the HD-BL40 in a room of our office that measures 13 feet wide by 21 feet long. The person in the image is standing 10 feet away from the camera and the camera is mounted 7.5 feet off the ground. This first image was captured with the lights turned on and the camera is in day time color mode.
IR Night Vision Surveillance Mode
This second image was captured with all of the lights turned off in the office. There is minimal ambient light being supplied from the computer monitor that the DVR is connected to This sample image demonstrates the ultra low light and zero light infrared mode of the camera.
